I was wondering if it was possible to just switch out the SOHC head from the E and put the DOHC head from the DE in its place. Are they interchangeable? Wouldn't it just bolt up? Both are 16 valve...both are 2.4L. Need help quick!

it is possible, with not many modifications. guy on here that goes by smug510. check him out. he done it. has pics posted and all. so dont listen 2 all these people that say it cant be done. they say do reasearch before u ask, but they r the ones that needs 2 research before they answer, lol.

the only thing is the SOHC is a 12 valve and the DOHC is a 16 valve. only mods i understand u have 2 do is to the timing chain cover. its a little different between the 2. and the compression parts of the heads do line up, head bolts, coolant passages, ect........
