Ka24e timing issue after chain replacment

I have a 1990 nissan pickup with the ka24e i recently replaced the timing chain and for sure had the dark spots on the chain lined up with the timing marks but the only way the truck will run decent is if the bolts are out of the distributor and its rotated all the way to the right is it possible i didnt get the oil pump in correctly?

im having the similar issue, I will try turning mine the whole way around. BUT if that's the case, the pump is in right, but the shaft that connects the pump to the distributor is off.

You will have to remove the pump and take the shaft out and turn it as needed.
