For a while I've had a ticking noise coming from my engine. It's weird because it's almost throttle dependent. When I start I hear a little, then it idles fine with no noise. Then I rev it a little then it's there, but if I floor it it's gone. I can definitely hear it in the head, and not violent enough to be a rod knock. Any ideas? People have been saying, it's a rod knock, lifters, timing chain, piston slap and other such things. I'll try to get a video tomorrow.

Wow, two other guys had similar issues just earlier this year. One thread didn’t get anywhere, the other is linked below. Within that thread are links to some fixes and further diagnoses as well as a video of the noise, etc. It seems an exhaust leak, loose chain (due to clogged tensioner), or a bad lifter can cause it. Keep us posted, the other guys haven't followed up on their threads with results.

Yeah I was going to say, almost sounds like exhaust leak at the manifold.
