I purchased a 1990 240 last summer and have been building it since. The other day a friend of mine took it to make a good first impression on his girls brothers. doing this he somehow blew my engine. So where can i find a cheap rebuild kit or a cheap KA24E? i plan on building the SOHC just because everyone takes the SR route. For now i wanna get it running so i can finish the 5speed swap then ill just build it later on. So does anyone know where i can find a cheap kit or cheap engine?

Google.

http://www.rpmmachine.com/shop/index.ph ... ail&p=5296

From their site PLATINUM ENGINE KIT:
This kit contains complete gasket set, set of pistons and rings, main bearings, rod bearings, thrust washers, timing chain and gears, oil pump, balance shaft bearings (if applicable), and a set of expansion plugs (does not contain camshaft). Pistons & Rings: Std., .020, .040. Bearings: Std., 10, 20, 30.

Seems to be what you are looking for. Although you could check craigslist in your area and see if there are any engines there, junkyards or just do a de swap. Plenty of those truck motors lying around.

Never used these guys so google them and make sure they check out.

I'm f*** up, but KA-E's will give you every ounce of power, they dont have.

My E would roar on the up hill, and a downshift would just make it louder. But they do really try.

I'm going SR now because they are reliable higher revving power, but i did mountain run and auto-x my E.

God i love kings cup.

E's can be impressive with a turbo and rebuild, but that rev limit is... i need more beer.
