Just wondering. where's the best place on the sohc ka24e to bolt up your chains when pulling it? Also I was wondering if it was possible to pull the wiring harness and swap the ecu's when i drop my Ka24de dohc in? I would prefer not to have to cut and soder the wires back together....

when i pulled my ka24e i just wrapped a chain under and around the intake mani and wrapped it under and around the exhaust mani.

also i have seen people bolt one chain to the front of the head and bolt a chain to the back of the head. but... im not sure how safe that is. i did try this method though when i had to remove the engine mounts and it seemed to work fine.

hope this helps

I pulled the wiring harness on both my sohc and my dohc, the plugs into the ecu's match up but, if i used the ecu from the sohc for the dohc wouldn't it mess up or not run correctly? and thank you for the info on where to mout up the chains.
