ROFLMAO I love the pic of your car. Nice FMIC.Dohc is a gret engine. What's your goal in power wise and your budget. Got to know what we are trying to accomplish here. whether it be 7psi and 220whp or 350hp at 15psi

I am looking into buying a s13 i guess one from 89-94. As soon as i sell my quad i am buying one for 1800. Now my options were if i get the older one ill have a rebuilt SOHC, or i can get the newer ka24de not rebuilt but low miles around 100,xxx, or i could get either with an sr20 but really dont want a sr20. just looking for a quick street car not a full out drifter. I guess my question should have been with ka to pick.

people are putting up good numbers with both the kade and the kae. i understand you want more power, but the best mod you could do is seat time right now. You're only 16 there will be plenty of time to gain the knowledge necessary for a turbo install, and you will be more tuned in to what you want and need so you will be able to better set up you setup the exact way you want it

this decision will be made by ur wallet and the condition of the car. if u end up choosing b/w a beat up car with low miles or a well taken care of car with high miles, just go with what u think would be ur best buy. start reading up tho cuz owning a ka-t or sr WILL require u to have some sort of mechanical ability.................

I would say keep the motor that is in the car you get/have. You are most likely running on a budget, like most of us, so keep the one you got an rebuild that if possible. Otherwise you end up like me with a graveyeard of parts and a basically stock 240.

werd. That's a happy 240sx if I've ever seen one. LOL

to the noob: the most cost effective way would be to turbo the sohc. Do a search on the best/most cost effective parts.

Since you're poor and don't have any experience, the odds are you won't have a remotely quick 240sx until after 2 or so years. That will give you plenty of time to save money and research. Good luck.
