So after doing a lot of research i finally see myself in the position on posting my problem here.
My set up is
550cc injectors (RX7)
n62 maf
stanza ecu (chipped by a local guy)
eagle rods
aria pistons
t3/t4 turbo

for the last two weeks I've been trying to resolve a hard start issue when cold. after doing some research, i found information about the ST SIGNAL ORANGE WIRE going from pin 34 on the ecu to the dash harness. i fixed and connected the wire but now the engine wont start, it cranks but no start. if i remove the wire from the plug then the engine starts but with a few cranks.

What could possibly be the problem here. i tested the wire going from the coil to the dizzy cap and it has spark, i can smell fuel so looks like the injectors are firing.

the weird thing is that if i remove the orange wire the car starts. I looked at the wiring diagram and couldn't find useful information.
help will be appreciated

is the start signal according to some post is the signal that tells the ecu that the engine is about to start. this signal is only present while cranking or when the ignition switch is in the start position

Could be something to do with the Stanza ECU. I'm not familiar with that ecu personally. Prior to the ecu swap, did it start right up on the first crank?
