OK...so I burned out my engine, got a japanese replacement, and I'm putting things back together. The end of the crank behind the flywheel is different. The new engine has a large bushing that extends just beyond the crank. What am I doing here? How do I remove? And do I need to install manual bushing after I remove? I'm working on a 92 Nissan Stanza. I'm not sure what this engine came out of. Thanks!!!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that is the pilot bushing. To remove it, pack it and the area behind it full of grease, then get a wooden dowel slightly smaller in diameter and hammer it in there. Displacement should push it out.
