I am swapping in a KA24E and I have run into a problem. I modified the oil pans to use pretty much the z22 one but the passenger side bracket that bolts the engine to the transmission will not even remotely fit i cut a small notch out of the driver side for it to work but the passenger isn't even close would need to cut away the whole thing. Does it need this bracket? my z22 didn't have anything bolted to the bottom part of the transmission except the shield (not sure on the proper name for it) not sure if it was missing something (wouldn't surprise me) or if they are all like that.

Thanks

Little confused as to what bracket you are talking about... do you have pics?

Ya here is the bracket. Needs to go right where the oil pan sump had to be to clear the diff. I know the z22 only had the shield to stop stuff from getting into the bell housing no brackets not sure if I need to use it or not.
