i have a ka24e and i was wondering if i swap that with the de, which will give me 15 more hp, is there anything that i should be aware about ? i notice that the 89-90 speedometers go up to 115 and yet the 91-93 only go up to 110... or should i just simple cut the ecu wires and make a switcher enabling me to go beyond my speedometer ? should i be aware of anything thatll potentially be harmful to my car ? thanks

Do you know much about the motors or are you just going on the 15hp upgrade? If you're not real experienced and knowledgeable (I know I'm not...), then I suggest learning more first. The SOHC has better low end and pistons than the DOHC, but less of a high end. This can be compensated by a good port and polishing though. I also believe an E to DE swap might require a new ECU.....Just food for thought, good luck.
