If you're new into drifting you are better off sliding on the stock motor. The stock single cam is not a power monster, but its got plenty to get your wheels spinning. I constantly see people build these high HP SR's and as soon as they get behind the wheel theyre all over the place. You're better off working with what ya got, and upgrade when you're skill level advances.
The gas gauge not working is likely a sending unit gone bad on your fuel pump assembly(thats what mine was), and the likelyhood you have a stock LSD is minimal(Honeslty dont know if one was even offered in 1990).
Spend your money on seat time/suspension before you concern yourself with more power.
