KA24E stuff

I'm pretty sure these topics have been talked about before, but i'm too damn lazy to search for it...so here goes...I've got an 1990 s13 with a KA24E motor...I was just wondering if I could get any recommendations on Motor Oils (regular or synthetic and also different weights) and also spark plugs (platinum, iridium, etc)...Your responses are most welcome...Thanks!

synthetics are thinner so they arent good for older engines with worn rings. I'm running valvoline synthetic 10w30 on a 20k rebuild
