I was just wondering if anyone has ever used this kit before http://www.importperformancepa....html

Is it any good i found a stroked complete ka24e that has a spun rod bearing with that kit it has forged pistons and rods i can get it for like $40 i figure i cant go wrong here plus it wasnt ran for very long after the bearing was spun. My plans would be to replace bearings build the head and boost it on a good tune.

40 bucks, do it and report findings and dyno numbers!

IMHO you dont stroke an over square motor Look, when those money hungry f***s can provide a pic or dyno of the claimed 30~40% power increase, then you buy it.

It probably makes a few more ftlbs, but until I see proof(its been out for a long time) I dont believe it.

yah, but for $40! shoot, i'd buy it just for fun and build a motor on the side with it.

But for the amount it cost new, shoot the ka's already have a long enough stroke. I wouldn't like the rod/stroke ratio with that crank either. Wonder what the effects on low end torque would be. I doubt it will be that great with the short rods.

if you don't get it let me know. i'd build one just to get a real dyno of that kit out there.

I'd buy it for 40 bucks...damn.

A motor can be stroked as far as it can be balanced IMO. If it's not vibrating beyond a reasonable scope, then stroke away. The other thing that would worry me is rod strength. Would have to be really decent forged units. The load on those puppies at 6500-6800 rpm is HUGE.

More cubes = more power.

I'd never buy it for retail though. In fact it would have to be really cheap for me to even consider. Simply because I can add a few lbs of boost and gain just as much power.

Is it just me or is that crank NOT fully counterweighted?

Better off getting the BC kit...

if you tried to rev to the point where harmonics mattered that much with a 102 mm stroke piston speed would be crazy.

so bc has a full counterweighted crank on their stroker.... so why don't thy make a counterweighted stock one? i would buy that.
