Ok i have a KA24e which i have rebuilt about 400 miles ago and i have tow problems with it now.First and most pressing:I was on my way home from work and the motor started to sputter and stall. Reving to 2000 ten faling ad rising and falling. I was driving normally went from 3rd into 4th and that is when the sputtering started. I got it home as i was close to the house and turned it off and left it until the next day. When i go to start it it starts up but isstill doing the sputtering. I checked the coolent fro oil and there was none(head gasket going) i checked the oil and it was good and the engine has good oil psi, the motor is not smoking and the exhaust smells normal. It has gas as it put it in before going to work that day. Any ideas as to what i can be? I am very sure it is either a fuel or a spark issue as the motor was running great prior, or some sensor going bad.Second Problem. There has been a rattle in the head from when i rebuilt the motor. I also rebuilt the lifters and bleed them. I have removed the valve cover and all of the lifters are solid and do not move. I thnk that it might be the chain causing the noise. It has a new timing set in there with the rebuild. The chain is tight on the passenger side and a little loose on the driver side( is this normal for the chain). The tensioner is in place and bolted down and the guilds are on tightly. Any ideas.

Thanks for the help in advance.

I'm not sure bout sohc ka, but does your tensioner move back and forth freely? that was the problem with my ka24de. I took off my guides, Ive heard from many people that they aren't needed. good luck. don't have a clue about the sputtering, have you messed around with your timing any when you did the rebuild?
