ka24e speed limiter?

I was curious, I am the only one out of my friends who's s13 doesn't have a speed limiter. Has a previous owner disabled it or don't automatics have limiters as both of theirs are 5 spds, one a 89 the other a 91. I saw the thing about cutting the yellow and green wire but when I looked at my ecu all the wires were untouched. So I am guessing it only needs to be done to 5 speed models.

Is it the same wire for both ka24e cars and ka24de cars? And could someone take a pic of it so when I tell them about cutting the wire we don't cut the wrong one? Lastly is it true you need to hook a switch up to it if you want to use cruise control since it uses the speed sensor.

Thats the one thing I love about my car, other cars may have more power and are quicker but thanks to no limiter I can dust them on the open road.

woot, cool for the autos. How about my question about the process of removing the limiter for the sohc engine vs the dohc engine and a pic of the wire being cut.

my 240 shuts off at 140mph ...... not many situations where you're gonna go faster than 120mph. I can only get up to about 80 or 85 at the drag strip.

do s14s have spd limiter as well?

I know it has a rev limiter around 6500 rpm...

I take mine well to the point that the needle starts to hit the bottom of the speedo. And my friends are irritated when it cuts off, that why I want to find out. Where I live we have lots of open stretches of desolate country roads to go on.
