hey guys Im new here but love cars.

I have a 1990 240 SX and A 1991 Stanza both of the cars are shot. The Stanza's engine is great minus the head is soso. The 240 SX's motor is shot but transmission is fine (automatic). I want to put the short block from the stanza in to the 240 SX. After just looking at them they look very different. My biggest question is will the short block form the stanza work with the 240 SX? I just put about a lot of time into building the stanza's bottom end. I guess if the shortblocks are differant I may be able to take the internals out of the stanza and put them into the 240. But thats a lot of work ... Any help would be great....PLEASE... I know quite a bit about GM motors and very little about the ka24e.

Thanks again,

Kenneth AKA Cmyskill...

The engines are different by the mounting in the car, block on stanza has shoulder for frt rt eng. mount and acc. alt. a/c and p/s mount differently. Might be a good idea to change internals. On some ka24e blocks like the truck there is no webbing or mounting flange for the starter and if you use a truck block you need a truck starter and I think the stanza has no flange made to the block for the starter either.
