I have a 89 240sx tht i swaped to a 5 speed. But im still using my auto computer. I took a complete cold air off a dohc and put it on mine mafs and all.Umm could that mafs be the reason it pretty much cuts out as soon as i get on the gas. the engine like sputters and runs rich as hell and i dont really have power.

running an auto ecu on a 5sp is an upgrade so i doubt thats the problem. did u use an s14 maf in ur s13? if so i dont think u can do that. s13 and s14 mafs arent interchangeable from my understanding

thats what i was saying. the dohc and sohc mafs read from different spots so i dont see how it could be swapped

no it's not. If his car starts he did the wiring right for the swap. Pretty simple thing to do.

SOHC an DOHC mafs will all plug in the same but if you are running a DOHC maf on a SOHC I cant believe it would even start, put your sohc maf back on or I have one for 30 shipped
