hes actually doing it for free, but if you want i can ask him how much he would charge. What kind of rebuild are you doing what parts and such, cause im trying to figure out what parts i want to use and its really messing up the finances?

are you going turbo? just rebuild the whole bottom end (gasket, rings, bearings) get new tensioners and get the head redone. you will also want to get ARP head and main studs

thanks thats what i was wondering like exactly what everyone replaces not so much as what brand parts or rebuild kit, but if i was going to build my own rebuild kit what i should deff replace for future turbo.

i dont know what the KAE block can handle but i just replaced everything on the bottom end and kept the stock piston and rods. i have a DE btw. just get a metal headgasket, new bearings, new rings, new head and main studs, and new tensioners. As for the Head, i sent mine to a machine shop and had them redo it

if i can remember what else ill post it

RJ are you boosted right now? i wanna send the head off to a shop too and might buy all new and upgraded valves/springs/and retainers to run the JWT cams. I think ill leave the pistons and rods stock unless if they tell me i need it bored.

im still building my turbo lol, i just need a manifold, downpipe, exhaust (lookin for 2.5"), safc, gauges, and maybe a new clutch. after that i need to tap my oil pan.

i kept the stock pistons and rods becasue from what i read they should be able to handle around 300hp. if your going for more than that, you should get forged. what power are you aiming for?

nothing too crazy bc it will still be my dd. I was thinking between 260-300, somewhere around there, yea i heard the stock rods and pistons...basically stock internals are good for up to 350hp.

but for now, i just want the thing with a stock rebuild and back on the road.I miss it so damn much Altima doesnt handle anywhere as nice as the ol 240!!!
