We're getting ready to rebuild my KA, and I have a few questions.
1.) What is a good price to pay for a full rebuild kit? I can get one through work (Autozone) for about $480 + tax. Comes with all bearings, pistons, rings, gasket kit, camshaft, oil pump, head bolts, etc. I've heard this is a good price, but if there's a company that makes a better quality rebuild kit for a decent price, then I would like to know about them.
2.) Boring out the engine. We're going to be boring it out, and I'm not sure how much we should do. I can get 20 or 30 over pistons, I was leaning towards 20 since I don't plan on doing to much performance-related stuff to the engine. I know this would add some power, but how much? Any ideas/thoughts from anyone that's done it? How would this affect compression if everything else is stock?
3.) Fuel Injectors. Where should I go to get a similar-to-stock injector set, for a reasonable price? I don't want to get nuts, because like I said before, I just need the car to be reliable and also get me decent mileage, because until I can afford a beater and some work to this engine, this will be my daily driver.
I'm sure I'll have more ?'s to come, but for now this is all I got.
Thanks in advance
