it looks like i may be rebuilding my ka & i was wondering if there's any difference between the truck version of the ka24e & the one in the 240sx because i've found that i can get one marked as being for the truck for about $150 less with all the same brand name stuff. so i'm wondering if this is something that'll work properly or not?

They are different. From things like head gasket, to oil filter pedestal gasket, the two are not the same. Some kits come with both gasket sets, because a whole lot of them are interchangeable, but enough are not that you need to get the 240SX one.

Just wondering where you were getting your kit. I read bad things about the topline kit in another thread, and thought maybe you might be getting a different brand.

Yeah, go felpro or something. I even went so far as to get my head gasket from Nissan, just to be safe.

I can get you a very high quality ka24e rebuild kit, including viton valve stem seals and viton front/rear main seals, graphite coated headgasket, top quality. Felpro is mediocre quality kit (napa), as good as any kit you could get off say, someplace like ebay. I carry full line of japanese only engine components, if your interested shoot me an email.
