as far as drifting goes, you can drift with the ka24e. my cousin's sohc was stong enough, but it all depends on your condition. more over, its all about your diff that will make you drift. as far as boosting the motor, you might wanna see if your motor can handle it, i.e. how many miles, compression, etc. i'd advise a rebuild before boosting. although its been done before, its more common to swap with the ka24de then boost. talk to the ka-t guys, they'll be able to answer all your questions.

I think sohc is just as capable but more over looked, parts are harder to get(find really). The only thing the sohc engine should have got factory that it did not was piston squirters, the boses are in place but no squirters. A de or dohc block on the other hand has them. Just be sure to run an oil cooler. As adrian the addict said rebuild or make damn sure your current motor is in ok shape. Nice sig pic btw adrian

http://www.ka-t.org/ has alot of good info.

As does the KA-T section zeroforum?id=170 on this forum.

Cheers - I'm in the same boat of debating putting boost on my sohc in a couple of years. (if I still got her )
