i have a 1990 nissan 240sx with a ka24e that i just had the motor bored and rebuilt with a new head on it and it was runnin before with a bad head but when i put the car back togeather the car from the exhaust sounds like crap(which it didnt before i took it apart) and i does not have any power in the top end at all( did not do before also) and sometimes back fiers to which it aslo did not do before. I ahve checked the timing with a timing light like 10 times and it is in time? All of the vaccum lines are on right and do not have any leaks. I took the fuel rail off and all the injectors are spraying when i jump them but when the car is runnin and i take 1 and 4 injector wire off it kills the car like normal but when i take 2 and 3 wires off it changes nothing???? Like i said the motor maybe has 300 miles on it and we foiund out it had a bad head so we bought a brand new one with new cam and valvues and it started doing this as soon as we put it togeatheer and it is also blowing out a little blue smoke which it never did. I tapped the maf to c if it was bad while it was running and nothing happend i am stumped somebody plz help

Think about your post. If you pull the plug on 2 injectors and nothing changes then obviously those cylenders are not fireing. You know that the injectors are working so you need to check the spark.

I know you say you checked the timing but did you check that the cam was alligned properly?

Did you reconnect the ground wirs that attach at both the front and rear of the head?

Did you use new head bolts when you but the head on?

If it worked before the new head and not after then you have to consider that hte head was put on wrong. Re-check and let us know

yes we used new head bolt and those two cylinders are firing. we put it togeather using a manual and we had put the onld one on the same way. Now we have checked the cam timing and i am sure it is on timethe dot on the cam lines up with the arrow unless i am doing it wrong how do you line up timing on the cam and timing chain and what else you think that it could be?
