KA24E pistons raise higher than deck ?

On my donor motor the pistons are actually 6-10 thousandths higher than the block on full compression stroke, is this normal ? It doesnt look like the block has ever been decked either. anyway thanx for the help !

if you're refering to the flattop pistons, yes.
