I live in Australia and I have a 93' Nissan pick up with a KA24E, I would like to Turbo this engine. Since most sites on the net say that this turbo will fit this motor ect.... Most sites do not tell you wether they suit a pick up. The KA24E must be used in other Nisaan models, will a turbo kit for a different model fit the pick up???

If the engine is mounted for rwd then most kits will work. you will have to make your own down pipe though to connect the turbo to the rest of the exhaust. Ask the kit maker for how much clearance is needed for it to fit. Kits for 240s *should* work, clearance should be about the same. Just realize intake piping and exhaust piping will have to be custom made.

depends on how ghetto you wanna be, really you dont wanna go anything smaller than a T3 Turbo on a KA. You can find used T3s pulled from low mileage cars for 100-150 on ebay. Biggest problem for the KA is finding a turbo manifold for a decent price, crappy log manifolds will be 200+ dollars, while the better equal runner length manifolds will be 300-400.

You will need:Turbo ManifoldTurboIntercoolerBOV/RecircIntake pipingAir and Fuel ControllerBigger injectors (370cc should be ok)Possibly Bigger MAFCustom Exhaust Piping

If you buy stuff new/name brand it will cost you probably $2000-2500

If you scrounge around and find junkyard/preowned intercoolers, turbos, injectors, etc maybe $1000-1500

second choice will take up more of your time of course. This is all guess work though, i dont know what work you can do yourself and what you can get for cheap.

Check out the KAT forums, and see what some other people have, alot of people there run t3/t4 hybrid turbos 225-300hp

lemme add that a t25 would be acceptable with low boost, but it will run out of steam at high RPMs. It will provide good boost by 1500rpm probably, so if thats your thing.....
