A turbo will get you in the 300 hp range, don't count on much more than 200 if you want to go NA.

its going to be a full race engine for offroad racing, and it needs to be n/a as rules regulate. i know its probly gonna cost somewhere around 10k for the engine i was just wondering who i should go to for a project like this.

to my knowledge a company called Rebello builds all of the balls to the wall KA's. Now i'm just re-spouting out what ive read on these KA boards, but i'm pretty sure Rebello builds Nismo's engines, and they are responsible for the 11,000 rpm monsters already used in off-road racing

someone please correct me

You should go with the KA24DE. And it's not true that you can't get 300 horsepower with an N/A setup.

ok check this site out, they have tons of nissan performance parts. and in the head porting section look at the stage 3 head porting. it says it adds 85-90 hp, do you think that is with supporting mods or is a 85-90hp gain from head porting realistic? heres the site http://www.importperformanceparts.net/

even with supporting mods your tuning is gonna have to be ridiculous to actually make that 85 to 90 horse gain. And yes you are gonna need everything that it says youre gonna need to even find any use out of that combo there, you can increase flow without that 12 or 13 to 1 CR, cams, ECU, TB, blah blah woof woof, but you are just gonna lose power if you port that head to hell without any supporting mods

its like buying Volks and then only shelling out for the Nankang tires.....

no i know your gonna need crazy tuning and high lift cams and 12-13 to 1 compression to even make use of the head porting. but i'm wondering if the clamied 85-90hp increase is with all that stuff or will that headporting add that much hp on top of a setup that will work with that much porting?

oh, well i cant possibly believe that it makes nearly as much power as it claims, and i'm sure no one on these boards has personally tried that head job, so to answer your question, i dont have any clue

i emailed them about a combo and the headwork but i don't know if it went thru, i guess i'll just have to wait. thanks for trying i guess lol. it sucks cause i can't seem to find any info on high hp n/a ka24de but i know there are tons out there in the offroad world racing.

I didn't say it was impossible, i didn't realize he was building a full on race motor that wasn't allowed to be turbocharged.
