ka24e or de? and other q's

hey im lookin to do a n/a ka build and im trying to decide on a motor. im leaning towards a de (dohc) good choice? also what are some good performance internals? lookin to mod the crank, rods, pistons, cam and whats the limits on boring .40 right? thanks!! also this is a daily driver so im looking mainly for reliablity with some extra hp 200-220 range (pushing it i know).
