I've got my engine on a stand & am preparing to pull the timing chain cover, as it looks like I have an oil leak either on the bottom of the cover and/or on the front edge of the oil pan.

Having never done this before, I want to know what other things I should look for while I'm replacing the timing elements.

TIA

Everything, if you have time, and the mileage of the engine is real high, it might be worthwhile to do a rebuild (if $ allows)

Replace all timing chain guards and any rubber vaccum hoses as needed.
