KA24E motor that won't stay running. desperate for help.

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Hey yall. my motor will start, stay running about 3 seconds then die. if i tap the gas pedal in stays running longer but as soon as i let off it dies. what the hell is wrong. i really need help on this. i need my car for a trip in about a month. my sanity rest on it.

check ur fuel filter and fuel pump my car did the same thing and thats what i did now it works if not that then try dumping ur cat

replaced the fuel filter now it only revs to 2500 rpms and goes no higher. and still if i let off the gas it still dies

any check engien light? take a look at your MAf. my car did the same and turned out to be one of the ground wire's broke off.

vacume leak....check your intake tubes if you have an aftermarket intake.

hey man im having the same problem i think its a vacum leak but if you fix yours leme no im still looking for the fix

it's fixed it runs, moves and goes to redline. look for a vacume diagram make sure all of them are hooked up to the right spot. on mine a few were not hooked up or in the wrong spot. she purs like a kitten now.
