My 89 240sx has been running great and then all of the sudden on 295, two cylinders seemed to have cut out. I checked for spark on all 4 cylinders, checked fuel on all four and everything on that end is fine. I pulled the valve cover and all the cam lobes are spinning like they should. I did a compression test and #1 and #2 have low compression, about 25 psi, 3 and 4 had over 150. The engine was cold because we couldn't run it the way it was running. There is no oil in the coolant, no coolant in the oil, no smoke, nothing that would scream "HEAD GASKET!!" I also see no leaks from the side of the block, head or where the head meets the block. Any ideas on anything else it could be? I'd like to check everything else I can before I rip the head off to see if the gasket blew between cylinders. The last head gasket job on it was 50k miles ago, so I'd be surprised if it blew already beings I don't really beat on it, rarely shifting past 3k, and only taking it up to 4.5k every once in a while.
Any advice?
