ka24e lifter problem

Hi last week I had a very disturbuing problem all of my rocker arms collapsed very suddenly, I was just driving down the road, and it started rattling very badly and lost power and eventualy turned off. I can restart the car. but I don't want to mess with it too much untile I can find out the reason for the sudden collapse. I had one go to ticking a few weeks ago and I changed my oil from 10w-30 to 0w-40 and that fixed the ticking. But then they all of a sudden just started ticking last week. What would cause them to do this? And I mean it happened quick. Oil pump maybe? Cloged oil passage? anyone have this problem before? what do I need to do?

you went from 10w30 dino oil to 0w-40 synthetic?

mebbe that's what caused the clogging of an oil passage or 2... what else besides changing oil lately that you've done?
