Me again,I finally got the car running decent after installing a different head and making some other adjustments. However, the engine seems to lack power and backfires through the intake between 1K-2K rpms.

Any ideas?

Thanks,Matt

Its probably got something to do with the new head you put on. What kind of camshaft did you put in it. And have you ever put a new head on before?

Well I used the camshaft from the old head because I cracked the rebuilt one (timing issue, I've learned my lesson). I haven't installed a new head prior to this hold debacle, but have reinstalled a few times.
