Will the KA24DE head, intake and exhaust manifold bolt onto the single cam block and bottom end??

i see.. well i have a 1990 pignose with the single cam. i was gonna buy a crank kit because i found out the bottom end was destroyed. But since i already have the whole engine tore down i figured out id ask to see if it was possible. i might just find a dual cam and do the whoile sawap... im not sure yet.

If im not mistaken there are other threads on this as its a power upgrade. If you match a SOHC bottom end with a DOHC top end it raises your compression to like 13:1. Makes a high compression KA.

to your q about bodystyle. yes its a hatch and i plan on taking out the pig factor eventually. btw thanks for the link man... but im not sure i want to run 13 to compression on stock pistons i might mill pistons and use thicker head gasket to get it down to like 10.5 - 12 somewhere.

I was off a bit. Looking through posts and other areas its only about 11-11.7:1 compression. My bad!
