If my ecu is fried will dash lights/radio and stuff still come on?

Yes sir.The ecu just controls the powertrain.

damn. so i have a 1990 nissan hardbody with the ka24e in it and i swapped wiring harnesses out of a 94 hardbody cuz mine caught on fire and everything is the same on the harnesses and im 97% sure everything is right. not sure what is going on.

I turn the key over and there is nothing but the clock on the dash comes on so i know its getting power. Half of my fuses light up with the test light.

Better check all your main fuses and fuse links.

Well I found a wire in the cluster of wires that leads to the battery/alternator/etc that is not hooked up. My old wiring harness does not have that wire and the wire is so small that it doesnt look important.
