Hey guys. I know a lot of you are going to look at the topic and be like "What the Hell". This is the story. I bought a 93 hatch shell. Clean in and out but had no engine or transmission. I was out and i found this 240 hatch body is decent and interior is ok. But it had a KA24E in it. he just wants to get rid of it for cheap. And I was wondering how hard would it be to put the KA24E into my 93 untill i get a S14 KA24de?

Not sure, I don't think it would be hard though. Just call around to some junkyards. I can think of 3 right now that have DE's.

it'll just be as opposite as swapping a de into an e car.

Its illegal to put a motor older than the car in the car, so making it legal wont be possible.

otherwise, it will be a waste of your time to put in an E motor if you are already planng on swapping to a DE motor.

Granted, if it is just a shell, you will need a lot to get anything to work. if there is electrical inside the car at all, just hold out and buy an S13 motor, you will save time tracking stuff down like sensors and other s13 only parts

i guess you need to make a realistic decision and goal
