So i have the ka24e sitting in my car ryte... I was going to do some minor mods on it, and i started thinking about building the ignition. I noticed when i asked for some ignition recomendations that the ignition system on the motor does not accept and external coil and also does not have an aftermarket distributor unit. why is this? or am i wrong?

dunno, no one makes that stuff i guess. im not sure if an MSD blaster coil would work, they are supposed to be universal, but i havent seen an aftermarket dist. yet, although i havent looked either.

I have the MSD 6A with a MSD Blaster 2 "universal" coil. They DO work.

Yes. The 1990 240sx KA24E SOHC. Keep in mind that if you go with the MSD ignition unit, you will need the tach/fuel adaptor on the SOHC. I am not sure, but I have been told that when installed in the KA24DE DOHC, the adaptor is not required. Feel free to search my posts from a while back, it has more details on the install, and I have a couple of pics on here with the mounitng I made for it all. Then feel free to ask more questions if you are unclear on anything.
