hey guys, im new to nico club, i have a
1990 nissan 240sx se s13motor: ka24etranny: sadly an auto
problem: my engine seems to be idling at 1300 when i first start it, then after it warms up to regular heating conditions and about 25 highway miles later the engine idles at around 1800 to 2000 rpms?!!
1. i checked all the vaccum lines for cracks, i tested the lines by spraying carb cleaner to hear for a richer idle, but no.
2. i went to my local nissan dealership to get vaccum diagrams since they were not in my chiltons book, and they were all connected and in the correct spot.
3. i adjusted the idle screw right after i started the engine(cold at 1300) down to 750rpm, but after driving it for a while the rpms were still too high.
i heard to test the throttle sensors ohms to see if the sensor was bad, which should be at 2omhs, when fully closed, but i do not have an ohm meter and i dont think thats the problem. it didnt used to idle that high b4 and i really find it very anoying. also, when i drop the lever to d (drive) it kind of tugs into 1st since the idle is high (i think). does anyone know what i should prolly check?
