Hey guys, I have everything undone from the head, Exhaust mani, steering pump, valve cover, those little 4 screws on the front where the head meets the block, head bolts and whatnot. My question is do I have to take off the intake manifold? If i do does the underside have bolts that need to be undone as well? I wanna get this thing off so I can get to sending it to the machine shop for a rebuild and then its on to pulling the lower end. i probably should have pulled the whole engine. Oh well. Any help would be appreciated. - Steve Vinci

You can take off the manifold if you want, but I think it's easier to remove the head with the whole intake side still attached. Just remember to remove the heater hoses in the back, and under the body by the throttle body.

Yeah, its not neccessary, and it would be easier just to keep it on.
