i have a 95 hard body xe truck, with the ka24e in it. recently me and my friend were talking and were thinking about messing around wiht a turbo that we can get for cheap. if we were to do this, what would i need to do to my truck, and whats a safe psi to run it at on stock internals and what not? and this will probably sound really stupid, but theres another chance that i can get a turbo from a volvo wagon thats also a 4 cyl adn would that work.? oh and its also an automatic :/ any help would be greatly appreciated!

yes it is possible to boost your truck.... you really need to do more research on the turbo setup tho.
you can run any turbo you want as long as the manifold has the correct flange for the turbo.
Most of the turbo kit will have to be custom made. you can use turbo manifolds for the SOHC 240sx on the truck SOHC. the trucks have different injectors so if you want to run... say 10 psi you will need larger injectors. you can run a SMIC if you want... or do your own custom FMIC setup.
I wish ya luck on the project it should be fun... but like i said above.. please research this site and any other site you can find.

ok thank you very much, i'm very new to the world of engines, and how to modify them so i'm trying to learn as much as i can. what sites (besides this one) should i look at? and how much money would i have to spend to make it all work?

if you want a reliable setup... i would say around 1500-2200 bux.... if you take your time and gather parts over time.... you will be better off. DON'T GO CHEAP ON FUEL MANAGMENT!!! thats whats kills engine fast. for a good ka-t site go to http://www.ka-t.org read everything you can and ask questions... thats how you learn.

I have a question about these trucks (and i do not want to make whole post just for this) Does they come with a lsd???? My brother has one on his junkyard and if it has an lsd i will get for free. It is an 87 4x4 hard body.Thanks
