KA24e gauge cluster not working

i just got an 89 s13 with a ka24e and my gauge cluster doesnt work the speedo bugs out and the tac doesnt work? any reasons why anyone thinks this may be?

mine was doing that... but the lights and **** were also going crazy. check your grounds, I had a broken one try that!

the tach could be quit a bit of different stuff, but the speedo sounds like a bad ground.
