I did the 24 swap into mine. You have to change the oil pan to the ka truck pan because of the way the sump is.. while you have it off might as well change the pickup tube for the oil pump.. It will have to be changed because you are changing the pan. what engine does he have in it now? They Ka24e truck engine? If so then he wont have to change anything.. The harness will work even for the car engine.. the only difference is the way the intake is set up. the mounts will be the same since its still a ka.. hope this helps..

The blocks are different.Stanza,Altima, and 240's have the same block and trucks are thier own design.IE extra bolt holes and startes locations.

So will it work? Can this be done without a lot of rigging to make it work?

what nissan hardbody said is all true. I found though when bolting up the truck pan to the 240 block that it wouldnt clear the main bearing girdle without some massaging of the oil pan. Possibly a 4x4 pan would work because theyre slightly deeper but I have never tried that pan before. peace.

lets put it this way...i have done the swap, and it is a pain. but it can be done..the biggest thing was the oil pan....had to fab it up.... oh and i had to by a 240 starter, and the 240 pulleys. you will also have to run the 240 ecu and sensors unless you stick with the truck heard. the intake manifolds are way different. I just ran the truck head with the 240 block. the main reason i went for the 240 ka was becasuse if has the crank girdle, which i think is better for alot of power.

WIVES tale my friend! The 240 engine has a slightly higher comp than the truck engine BUT the truck blocks are FAR stronger. Pick the brains of the guys over at KA-t the ol school KA guys know what I am talking about. peace.
