I have acquired a ka24de,92' that came from a automatic. They guy took off the transmission, but from what I see looks like the torque converter is there (round metallic pumpkin w, atf slightly visable) Engine is still on pallet for now, (sourcing engine lift out of stock everywhere) How is is tc separated? Can someone explain the power steering lines can they be reused (bent) or easier to get some lines off a 91+.

Thanks for all the quick answer demcj much appreciated.

hmmm...i haven't paid closed attention to how the power steering lines on my dohc are ran, but i do remember the pump and reservoir being on the other side of the engine on the sohc.

it might be easier to get some lines off another dohc engine. i believe the sohc lines might be too long.

Ok thanks. Also I searched around, trying to find info or points on how to pull/drop in a ka engine. There are 3 points attach bolts the use a chain to pull up.. where exactly are these located? Just put together the engine hoist yesterday, not so bad considering lack of detailed instructions.
