I have 2 questions:

I know there is a post for the ka24de on how to remove the egr and various other unneccesary things from the engine. What I was wondering is, can I remove the EGR from my car (1990 240 w/ ka24e) without hurting anything. Does this benefit. What else can I remove from my engine that I don't need. Please help me with this, id like to know what all I can do and what the benefit is or if it will hurt something.

and my second question is:

Butterfly removal-I know this has ben listed for the KA24DE, but I don't know how to do it on the ka24e. Is it worth doing, what are the trade-offs? If anyone has any diagrams or pictures of doing this that would also help.

you can remove the AIV, EGR, Vapor cannister, a/c & lines, among other things.

search for those keywords

I removed the carbon canister purely to clean up the engine bay, and eliminate one possbile place for a vac leak to appear.
