First post here. But let me say first that I sed the search button and was unable to find what I was looking for.

But I have A 1997 hardbody with the ka24e engine. Previous owner removed almost all of the emission parts, lines, hoses, sensors, etc. And I still have no idea why but for $100 truck that had no rust or dents I couldn't go wrong. Well he couldn't get the truck to run properly then at all. So I looked around for all of th emission parts but I am having A hard time finding them. And when I do the cost is an arm & A leg. So I thought about doing the conversion from fuel injection to dual side draft carbs. I have found the intake manifold and I can find the carbs and throttle linkage. But are there any other mods when doing this conversion? (distributor, ecu, camshaft swap) Anything else I should be worried about beside loss of fuel mileage?

And by all means I want to avoid an engine swap if I can. Thanks for any and all help in advance.

I'll go on a limb here but I'd bet he removed the iacv or line to it. And doing so he had to set the idle screw for the engine to idle. After such he didnt set the tps back to stock and the ecu is reading from the wrong location 100%of the time. You only NEED the fpr(so you dont ask fpr=fuel pressure regulator) and brake booster line. No if ands or butts, you will have som cold start problems but other then that its cool. Also after setting the tps go ahead and do your timing. FSM has all you need far as how to DIY.
