Hey can someone tell me what the displacement of the combustion chamber is in a 90 ka24e head?

Each chamber volume

I need an answer asap plz!!!!

figure 2.4L, 4 cylinders, a rough estimate would be 0.6L each. Might wanna get a buret for a better measurement though.

I was talking to a fella and he said the displacement of the head and the displacement of the engine are totally independant of eachother. Such as the head displacement would be roughly around 40cc ish for each chamber but I need an exact measurement. Not sure if anyone knows this though.

Beats me man. If you wanna get down to the nitty gritty of your motor's combustion displacement, you really should take a buret to it.

ya what you do is get a piece of plexiglass big enough to cover the combustion chamber and put a small hole in the middle and after dabbing a small amount of vasoline under each of the valves and putting a junk spark plug in that you would use, use a pipet or other accurate measuring device to fill the chamber w/ alcohol with a small amount of food coloring thru the hole. If everything is sealed and the chamber is full to the bottom of the hole, you have found your combustion chamber volume. Don't forget to take into account cylinder head gasket thickness if you are trying to figure out your compression ratio. This is all assuming your engine is taken apart right now...

Ka24e/stock valves/stock installed valve height/uncut deck = 65cc

ka24de is approx 45-47cc.

btw. crushed oem gasket thickness 1mm/.040" give or take a few thousands.

NISTECH measured it for me a few years ago when i built my motor, so i could order my JE pistons. He came up with 60cc's. But 65 is close enough as well. If you need any other measurements (i assume you are getting custom pistons made), i still have my order form.

hate to be dumb but 5 cc's is a pretty big deal when figuring out compression ratio.

I measured multiple times with two different tools (fluid cc) on a known uncut head (99mm iirc). 5cc is a big deal, it would change compression ratio .5 point in ka24e. Do a full compression ratio calculation, 60cc is not correct.
