Hi,

Need to replace the crank sensor on my 1989 Ka24e, have searched everywhere and cannot find a single thing on this. I have no problem getting to the sensor ( cap off, rotor off, rubber gasket/dust cover removed) but once i get to the sensor its got a slotted wheel sandwiched between it and Im afraid if i mess around with trying to get it out incorrectly ill mess up the timing completely. If someone could point me in the right direction of removing the sensor and optical wheel properly that would be great. (I really want to avoid replacing the dizzy as a whole if I cant figure this out!!)

Thanks!!

I don't think it comes apart...well there's nothing in it in the FSM.

i had a feeling that was a big possibility. Thats true theres nothing in the FSM regarding it, but figured that since they sold the optical pickup sensor (atleast i think they do :/) it was replaceable. thanks alot for the feedback, I guess ill just have to find a decently priced dizzy maybe one out of a scrap yard!
