Ka24e confusion

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

ok this is probably gonna be a stupid question but i want be sure. i dont have a pic so ill have to describe it. there is a black box that has 3 bolts that bolt to the timing cover under the thermostat housing on the intake side. does that box connect through a hose to the bung on top of the intake plenum in the middle right between the runners not the small one curled and aimed down but the big one angled? cause i thought it did and the form fitted pipe is molded to fit like that but it will not at all slide onto the bung on the black box it ended up splitting the hose and its like a centimeter to short

that "box" connects to your pcv valve. and you can use 5/8 heater hose to connect it

is that what the bung on the intake is. it is sorta like a spring loaded mechanism that goes directly to the plenum cause i thought the pcv was the crank case breather hose that runs off vaccumm from the air intake

nope. do you know where the pcv valve is? it toward the top part of the intake manifold right in the middle right by where it says ECCS. that is where that box connects. im pretty good at the ka stuff i have torn 3 of these things apart. if you want you can email me pics of what your talking about and that may help me help you lol. yea man i found it. i became unlazy and found it in the fsm in like 20mins haha thanks man.
