I have read where you can swap the KA-E pressure plate and disc with some remove/moving of the dowel pins but didn't know if the KA-E disc would work with the pressure plate.

Search hard and search good. The answer you seek is in the archives. Why don't you just buy a CA clutch set? They are pretty cheap and you don't have to be moving dowel pins around for fitment.

to answer the question, yes KA24E or DE clutches work fine Be careful though, a stock KA clutch will slip pretty much immediatly, make sure to get an upgraded one (and not an XTD stage 1 either, they slip like crazy too). I'm running a new OEM ca18det clutch with wonderful success
