KA24E can it be put in a 1991 240sx???

yes, you can swap sohc's into the de cars, people have done it time and again, use the search feature bud

newbie.. ihave done that swap on my 92 hatch that i used to have.. i swapped in a 89 year sohc engine into after the dohc blew.

its a very easy... took me 1 day and by night i was out driving!!!!!!!

^^^ I know that, but you might as well do it right the first time. IMO, if you are going to go through the hassle of pulling an engine and swapping in another one, you might as well do it with something that you'll be happy with.

... but, I suppose if you are in a bind with a non-running car and you can get an E on the cheap, some may feel it is better to be up and running than sitting. I would rather save my coin and do a swap that I would be happy with.

yeah alot of people would say just hold out and save for an sr20, or just the DE. the DE would probably be a more worthwhile swap if you were planning on doing anything to it in the future, but like he said, if your in a bind, then do what you can

I would do an DE swap, but I have looked everywhere, and no company has them for sale... the thing is I have two things with my car, one; is spits out Oil from the muffler... then the gas tends to go by pretty quick... then when I am at a stop- I gas it (it is bellow 1000rpm) and it goes to half, then up more when I force more gas into it, I have heard my Idle air valve control is ****ed up... I don't no weather to buy a brand knew DE or E, or rebuild my engine, or fix the valve and hopefully all is good?????? any suggestions??

You might try posting in the classifieds... I am sure there are a few people that have their old DE lying around waiting for someone to buy it. I have a DE in my garage right now, but the block is blown.
