I am planning to rebuild my hb ka in about another year or so and wonder what parts to use other than stock, I found eagle rods seem to be affordable but wonder who else used them in ka's, found cams at oandj in florida that seem ok, have a well known engine shop to do the machine work, dont want a full blown race motor, just a little higher comp, say even more than a stock 240 and more torque, rulled out turbo cause I like my a/c and cant find an intercooler to fit without removing it. I like to raise h*** in it a lot but trust it to get me wherever i need to go. it has 246k miles on it {93 2wd} and hasnt given me an engine related prob yet, ive held at the rev limit on many occasion, do i need tougher than stock parts??

im gonna do the same and have been reserching it. nismo has a bunch of cool parts for hardbodys but their site is kinda confusing you have to search for d21 parts. http://www.nismoparts.com/catalog/?section=596

the nismo catalogs are like 5-8 bucks at any dealership and arent near as confusing. Also, I am not aware of any intercooler designed for the HB so I dont know how you can rule out boosting when wanting to retain A/C. I also dont see the point in rebuilding a KA until it starts smoking or theres a loss in compression. There's just no point. peace.

Hey man I appreciate your input, there is no point in rebuilding a non smoking or knocking engine except it only has half the power it used to and I want to. I know where youre coming from but its not a ( is there any point or not) its just a want to thing, and besides Im just doing a little homework to see how I want to do it when I do. I doubt I will unless it starts burning major oil or knocking.. thanks anyway for the point.... :
