ka24e block with de head

Does any know if its ok to just block off distributor on a ka24e? i have a de head with distributor and sohc oil pump. i had it running for a few min it seems like it would be ok not sure about long term. also my s13 cams have extra journal didnt plug oil ports (frointer cyl head ) will that affect oil psi ?. i dont have gauge yet maybe someone has experince not sure how to post pics
